IT's OFFICIAL...FEBRUARY 06 2012......

That my 2012 calendar is going to be very very full.  So far February is pretty free, except for a few small things, nothing earth-shattering.

Then comes March.  Grandson a senior this year will be performing in his last high school play -which is GREASE by the way and I will be attending - these H.S.plays have all been great.

Then am booked on a 5 day bus trip to Georgia and the cherry blossom festival.  Looking forward to that.  And March is pretty well shot.

April starts out free and slow, but will be traveling to Phoenix Arizona later in the month with friend Vicki to visit the kids out there, look for some castles, and possibly visit a national park, in addition to spending time with the kids, grand-kids, and great grand-kids.  That week will fly by.

May - a tentative bus trip to Ocean City, and confirmed first A&C of the year in Morgantown WV.  Last A&C was in November, so by May it will have been 6 months, have to refresh my memory on what to take, how to set it up, all that good stuff.  6 months can do a real number on the brain.

And then it is June - year half over already.  Waiting for acceptance to Troy Ohio Strawberry Festival.  The weekend following Troy will be Granville, Ohio - automatic acceptance.

But here is the best of all - friend Nancy and I are confirmed on a 12 day tour of Ireland.  Yes, Ireland Ireland, not Ireland Ohio or some such thing.  This wasn't even in the planning, we just kind of fell into it, with the help of her son Ethan, and a travel-agent friend.  My head is literally spinning.  Then June will end with - if I get accepted again this year - the Boston Mills Art Festival in Peninsula Ohio.  I don't even want to think about July and the rest of the year.

I think I will need a major vacation to recover from my trips and festivals.  Somewhere in there I have flower beds to take care of, mulch to order and spread, vegetable garden to get planted - I think I am retired from mowing.  Jerry had to buy a new mower last fall, seems as if every time I mowed something went wrong with the mower.  So am not touching the new one.  At least to mow.  Will probably use it to hitch up the garden cart and haul away trash and carry mulch.  How much trouble can I get in doing just that?  But mowing - I think that is a thing of the past.  However looking at my schedule don't know when I would find the time anyway.

Now for a clarification.  All through football season whatever team I am rooting for loses.  Consistently.  I am not counting the Steelers in this, just all the other teams.  So after much thought chose the Patriots, even sort of stated that Baltimore was playing, even though they lost to the patriots before.  Guess it worked.  Giants won.  I didn't jinx them, I made it happen for them.  Boy, is that something or what?

No other earth-shattering news.  Just have to decide what is important today, and what can wait until another day.  I probably should dust my house, at least.  And then maybe not. The day is just beginning, sort of.  Wonder what new and exciting things will happen today, and tomorrow and on and on.  The days are always full of surprises of one kind or another.  Some good, some bad, some just o.k.

So will sign off here and decide what I am going to tackle next.  Maybe something. Maybe nothing.  Who knows.  The phone might even ring with something exciting going on.  Don't know how much more excitement I can stand.

So will sign off.  No football for 6 months.  Hope I can last.  Have a good day and God Bless.
