Somehow I think not. Remember my post yesterday - well I had another message on facebook today, another video, another fantastic song and singer.
This time it was a single Dad, 36 years of age, named Marcus. He is struggling to raise his son, and, as he stated, this was his last chance to realize his dream AND support his son.
His song - Halleujh. His rendition - fantastic. The crowd's reaction - standing ovation. The judge's reaction - overwhelmingly YES.
Somehow it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling when you can actually hear, and see, folks following their dream, hear and see the reactions of those listening, and realize you have seen magic.
We all need magic in our lives. More of us need to believe in magic - it does exist. All you have to do is stop and look, and listen. The trees turning color in the fall - magic. The snow blanketing the earth in winter - magic. The new green shoots coming to life in the spring - magic. The lazy days of summer - magic.
I guess there are many other names for these wonderful things, but I believe in magic. Just being alive. Listening to beautiful music. Sharing a dream, laughing till you hurt, crying, not because you are sad, but because you are glad.
Yes, there are hurdles to clear every single day.
Yes there are deaths and sickness, financial worries, I could go on and on. But I have found that by believing in magic, life is so much better, the days are easier to manage, and the rainbow in the sky makes you realize you are not alone.
