CONTINUING SAGA

PART 3 ... MAY 01 2013 ...

Where was I?  Let's see.  Yep.  On our way to the mom and pop store for our Date shakes the bus began making a funny noise.  Further we went louder it got.  Arrived at the store across from the wind-mill farm.  Driver called headquarters.  They were sending another bus.  So in addition to our shakes - which were awesome to say the least - headquarters paid mom and pop to feed us.  They also run a small deli.

Of course certain people let our driver/guide know that when I arrive things go haywire.  When we boarded the replacement bus driver/guide let everyone on the bus know that it was my fault.

We continued our tour, no more problems, it was great.

We spent part of the afternoon shopping - I bought a clock.  We really need a clock.  Let's see.  Laundry room 1 clock.  Spare bedroom 2 clocks.  My bedroom 1 clock.  Computer room one clock - chimes. Living room one clock - chimes.  Kitchen 2 clocks.  Dining room one clock- it has a chicken that crows 4 times on the hour.  Oh yes, main bathroom 1 clock - also chimes. Downstairs family room 3 clocks.

You can see that we really need another clock.

Never even thought about buying a clock. I guess it was fate.  Had been looking for a parking spot (in Palm Springs ALL parking is free, on the street or in a lot or building)  Finally found a spot on a side street.  Happened to be right in front of this clock store.  Of course we went in.  Linda now owns a clock.  I now own a clock.

This is a Rhythm clock.  Not only does it play beautiful music every hour on the hour, the numbers dance a jig, or move around, or do both. This clock is now on the wall between the dining room and the living room.  Bossman just about had a heart attack.  "What do you mean  - you bought a clock?"

I thought the words "I bought a clock" were very well spoken, and very easy to understand.  Guess I was wrong.  Linda and Dave took their clock with them, I had mine shipped.  Came a few days after I got home.  Looks and sounds really great.  Now we are surrounded by chiming or crowing, every hour on the hour.

To round out our day we took the aerial tramway to the top of the mountain.  We had the ride and dine tickets, which meant, not only did we ride to the top and back, we had a buffet dinner included, on the mountain top.  Luckily we had been forewarned that it would be cold up there and we had sweatshirts.  Boy!  It was cold.  Of course, all my fault.  Great view, lots of pics.

The tram is round, as you can see, you stand inside, and the floor revolves.  You have a 360 degree view of the valley below, and the mountain on the way up.  And the way down.  What a great way to end the day.  What kind of havoc would I be able to wreak tomorrow? At least the tram didn't get stuck!

To be continued......

Enjoy the sun and God Bless.

Needless to say we had no trouble sleeping, and were ready to face the next day.  Wonder what kind of trouble I could get into???
