THIS and THAT and OTHER STUFF...FEBRUARY 02 2012..........

THIS IS FIRST - It is Groundhog Day.  Guess the celebration at Punxatawney is in full swing.  It is pretty bad when a groundhog can predict the weather better than the weather forecasters with all their sophisticated equipment.  Just like the woolly bear caterpillars.

NOW SECOND - Much too close to home.  Sometime around 7 p.m. we could see a huge fire on the ridge across the way from us.  Jerry and Tim both think there was a trailer over there, but were not sure if anyone lived in it.  For several hours all you could see were red flashing lights, it was after 11 p.m. before no more lights could be seen.  Please keep whomever might have lived in that trailer in your prayers.  I have heard nothing.

You see these things on TV and read about them in the newspaper, but it is always somewhere else, not so close to home.  Kind of gives you a funny feeling.  We are not exempt after-all.

THIRD and FINAL - I filled you in on my photography class.  Remember how I mentioned that although we were all in the same place taking pictures, how different the pictures would look?  The class was fun.  The students were excellent.  We laughed at each other's pictures, and we all learned a lot, even me.

I am going to share 5 pictures here from the five students, of the same subject.

Same park, same flag, all taken at the same time.  Everyone's perspective is different.  Just like we are all different.  Not a single one of us us is just like another, even when you're twins.

We had a fun day.  Perhaps we will do it again later in the year, perhaps not.  Perhaps there will be others wanting to play.  Perhaps not.  Time will tell.

So until next time, stay safe, enjoy your day and God Bless.
